An intimate studio maternity session at 35 weeks
Arielle and her husband drove in from Atlanta for their “babymoon” at Palmetto Bluff and used my studio as a stop in the weekend. She brought a piece of fabric bought from an Etsy shop for a more intimate and moody look as well as a long chiffon dress to wear with my ivory lime washed backdrop.
Draping
We used two main techniques of draping using the piece of fabric she brought: 1) Draping the fabric over her shoulder with very little skin showing. This highlighted her bump and emulated a more formal gown type look. 2) We also used pinched the fabric together to make a bra-like top dress with as much of her bump, arms, and legs showing.
Simple and Modern Dress
Arielle’s second outfit was a brown floor length, off the shoulder semi sheer chiffon dress that hugged her curves and gave a subtle peek at her baby bump. I loved having this option for her. It was the perfect pairing to the moody and formal look of the gold fabric.
Photos of her and her husband
Along with the two different wardrobe styles, the photos with her husband were also able to be styled in both a fun and casual look and a quiet, sexy, and intimate vibe.
