Summertime Senior Photos | Class of 2024

I loved starting out my Class of 2024 senior photo season with these three beautiful young women representing Hilton Head High School and the Hilton Head Christian Academy! They wanted to grab their sessions before school started, their Fall schedules got too full, and of course while they still had that summer glow.

Shades of Pink

All three girls brought outfits with a variety of pinks, blushes, and mauve tones.

And I’m going to go ahead and say these were all chosen before the Barbie movie made its debut. But let’s be honest, these were the perfect wardrobe choices for a girls’ night at the movies!

Portraits

This is the time in every senior session that I love!

You’ve had your chance to get the school’s formal headshot/portrait (am I the only one that absolutely loves mine? Class of 2002 must have just been super special, haha!) and now it’s time for me to do a bit more casual and authentic portrait for these seniors.

Portraits are my jam and this is where I think my work shines!

Black & White vs Color

Every image that I deliver back to my seniors are in color, but then there are a couple that have so much dimension and emotion that I just HAVE to also edit the photo in black and white.

Here are a couple of my favorites so far this season…

Walking photos

In every photo session that I do, I ask my subjects to walk across the backdrop, twirl, or skip/jump/move toward me in some way. Each iteration of this is different and immediately pegs each seniors personality.

I love it!

Photos can be super intimidating sometimes and easy to feel stiff and awkward, so I do a lot of shaking it out and capturing those in between moments.

Thanks to Maddie, Eliza, and Isabelle for the excellent color choices, bringing such fun personalities to their senior sessions, and being willing to try anything! You all started off my Class of 2024 season off with a bang!
