4 Benefits to coming into the studio

When I first made the switch to indoor, studio photography I felt like I had to convince clients that it was a good idea. Not so much anymore, though! The consistency of light, weather, style, and location have all proven to be amazing factors to my photo sessions and produce beautiful imagery!

But, if you’re new around here and you wonder why you should choose to come into my studio versus have a shoot somewhere around the lowcountry with the sunlight and nature then this blog is meant for you! :)

Different & Unique

One of my favorite things about studio photography is that it is indeed UNIQUE at this point in Bluffton, Hilton Head, or the lowcountry.

Not everyone is doing it!

If you’ve lived anywhere close to social media over the last several years you know exactly what a beach family portrait looks like. Sure, every photographer’s style is different and we all hope for a unique and magical look to the light at golden hour. But, a lot of times the outdoor photos can feel predictable to me.

I want to change that and offer a different perspective to maternity photos, senior sessions, and headshots. I want your photos to be different from everyone else’s.

No Distractions

YOU and the relationships you have are the main focus.

I’m typing this as I sit next to a gallery wall of my own favorite photos throughout the years. I have photos from my own beach maternity session, the first moments I held my babies in the hospital, and my husband and I in all of our favorite places. These photos are beautiful to me because of where they were taken and who’s in them. But then go around the corner and into my hallway and you’ll see studio photos of my son and daughter at each milestone birthday and they are incredibly beautiful as well.

It’s all about the goal of your photo. What is the most important thing that you want to capture?

If it is to actually SEE and CELEBRATE the person(s) in the image then studio photography is for you.

Timeless

To me, when I use the word “timeless” I am talking about the consistency and intent of my photos. I want my photos to tell a story unaffected by time.

My goal is for a granddaughter to one day look at the photos I took of her grandmother and see HER in her truest sense.

To me, taking photos in a studio setting is the first time I have felt like I can put all of my effort and ability into taking these timeless shots without worrying about outside contributing factors.

Easy to Plan

It doesn’t matter if it’s raining or sunny, dark or bright daylight! A studio photo session is the same year round.

This is wonderful for a planner like me, but even better for the busy people trying to write with pen in their calendars.

So unless it’s a new candle or backdrop color, you can bet that the studio will be the same as the last time you visited. Your hair, your clothes, and your calendars will thank me. ;)
